I've taken my puppy there twice. Once just for his checkup and while there Dr. Wood and his techs were very professional but at the same time very personal. He allowed me the time to answer the several questions I had as a new puppy owner. He's also not opposed to doing new things. What I mean by that is the new Titers testing which allows your dog fewer vaccinations throughout their lifetime (yeah, that's good for me). Some vets will NOT go by this new protocol. He has a genuine concern for the health and wellbeing of animals! Being an over protective Mommy, I even took him in to have his ear hair plucked and really I expected a tech to do this. No, to my surprise the vet did and gave me the same treatment knowing I would leave having only spent $10! If you're searching for a great vet in Austin, definetly go with Balcones!!!
