Review content:
Having lived in Indian communities in East Africa as long as 30 years ago, have ever since been enthralled with Indian food and cooking. For the past ten plus years my job as a professional tennis coach has taken me to the far corners of the earth. At virtually every location visited I sought out Indian restaurants and especially buffet to sample the widest selection of foods offered. Well imagine my surprise when having already been disappointed by the Indian buffets I had found in the NorthWest US I stumbled across Abhiruchi in Beaverton. Even arriving towards the end of the buffet - sometimes a bad omen at less professional establishments with only leftovers remaining - the wide array of dishes all seemed to be as if just served up. And what an array it was from lamb vindaloo to vegetable Korma and on and on spicy Tamarind soup and a selection of vegetable and chicken dishes that would leave few without at least a number of desired taste treats. It should be noted that this is the first time I ever felt compelled to leave a review for anything on line. Additionally, the side sauces were not limited to a chutney or two with mint sauce, was instead represented by about 10 sauces, many of which I had never sampled before. Likewise, the desserts offered were far better than the rice pudding and white Jurgens lotion tasting offerings of most Indian buffets.
Pros: Everything from the professional quality food to the background music to the attentive service.
Cons: That I didn't find it on my earlier visits to this area !!!!
