Do your homework! check out all prof's in this industry whether in the immed. area or not. It will pay off! I heard local good reviews on Hollis Lasik of Auburn and they ran a special that coincided with my birthday in Oct. I took them up on the offer for $500 per eye, since eyeglasses gave me migraines on the spot the earpieces strike the head behind the ear. that is the main reason plus 4-eyes are SO unattractive. I did have some dry eye and made sure i told Hollis about this beforehand. The day of surgery the pain was excrutiating and i called back to report this and was later told i never complained about pain. Something the dr. put in my eyes during procedure caused a horrific allergic reaction and both eyes were out of commission for over a week longer than all other typical patients. By week three, my blood pressure out the roof from pain and stress over severe eye pain, blurred vision, swelling of the eyeball and so tender to the touch i couldnt wash, i had to have the 'flap' re-lifted and eyeball scraped and debris dug out Hollis said was left under the 'flap' in the first surgery. The rt. eye had to undergo post-op pain ALL OVER AGAIN...from the cutting of the cornea. Nver in my life had anything hurt so bad for SO long. I have used drops until I am 'drop'ping out of life. I have canceled important events like my autistic son's AU piano recital, his flag football games, just dropping him off and going back home to sit in the dark with my sunglasses on.
