Well, it ALWAYS happens on a weekend and ALWAYS late afternoon (Saturday between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.) --- the hot water tank blows!!! Thank goodness, though, I was at home and able to save my wood floors from being ruined. I called four different plumbers leaving voice mails to please call me. The only response returned to me was from Roto-Rooter. The lady who called me was very nice and stated that one of their plumbers would be contacting me very soon and they should be able to help me.
Eric Ellis called me and said he could be at my house by 8:00 p.m. He arrived and was the best plumber I have ever encountered. His manner was so professional. He was attentive to what was needed in order to replace my old water heater. He expressed for safety standards and code compliances that my gas line connection was very old and some of the pipes were galvanized. He also suggested a drain needed to be placed through the floor and a release valve pipe also needed to be placed on the correct side of the hot water tank. I was very impressed with how quickly, efficiently, and cleanly Eric worked. By the time Eric left, I had hot water and you couldn't even tell that he had been there!!!
Thank you Eric for being willing to come and help someone on a Saturday night. I appreciate you and your family---they had to give up time being with you in order for you to help me.
I will use Roto-Rooter and hopefully always get Eric when I call!!
