After taking my car in for the 4th time for the same check engine light (I know screw me once...yada yada...), and paying nearly $1000 in repairs each time I finally had enough and took my car to Plaza for a second opinion. You see "now" Suntrup was saying an $1,800 repair was "really" needed for the issue behind warning light. Plaza said (in about as fast as you could type this) the issue was a burned out sensor and all that needed to take place was a replacement. Well wouldn't ya know it, this myserious $1,800 repair (and all the ones before I imagine) they were trying to get me with was not even found at Plaza when I handed over the report I took with me! Conveniently I was looking to buy a new BMW and when I dropped it off for service at Suntrup and mentioned to the salesgirl if getting even a KBB trade was in the cards to make it easier than throwing the car on Criag's list I'd do it. Of course they couldn't wait to put my back in a corner and tell me how messed up my car was and how expensive the repairs were going to be so maybe they should just take it off my hands for practically nothing! Nice try morons but I picked it up and will now share this lovely bedtime story with anyone who will listen. To add insult to injury, the salesgirl basically told me I couldn't afford the car I made an offer on (offerred 10% below sticker and could have paid cash 20% over btw). You people are incompetant, arrogant, & dishonest. After going there for years out of ignorance I guess, I will not return for so much as an oil change.
