Ok, this is a little long, but it absolutely true and will give you a good idea of who you are dealing with. I just bought a used truck from Ellensburg Chevrolet and I will say, it was the best experience of buying a vehicle I have ever had, period. I was looking for a particular type of truck and had been shopping online for a few months throughout the Pacific Northwest. After talking to a few salesmen, I scheduled a weekend to drive up to the Portland area to look at a few of my top picks. I was inches away from making a deal in Portland and called up to my contact at Ellensburg Chevrolet, Andy Dicken, to get a sense of what his truck was really like and if it would be worth the 4 hour drive. Even-though I was putting him on the spot, he described a truck that was in superb condition and agreed to make me a deal that I couldn?t refuse. Bit of gamble, but 4 hours later, I arrived at the dealership around 9pm on a Saturday night. Being after hours, he and his sales manager, Mike Suter, met me at the dealership to show me the truck. I was happy to see that the truck was everything Andy had described it to be ? ?ka ching?, honesty points. After so much ?dealing? and driving that day, I told them I wanted to make the final decision with a clear head in the morning. Even though they were going to be closed, it was Super Bowl Sunday, and Mike?s birthday (no lie), they understood and politely agreed to come in, if I was still interested. I went back the next morning for one more look, and without a doubt, felt good about the whole deal, and a phone call later, Andy showed up with a smile on his face and a few doughnuts for me and Mike - the birthday boy. Being from out of state added an additional challenge to the deal, but Mike worked hard to arrange financing and allow me to drive the truck home that day! While you might think that all their extra effort would put me in a tough position, they never once made me feel like I ?owed? them anything for their service however, after it was all said and done, I felt like I had been working with friends, and the least I could do was write about my experience. Of course this is only my experience, and if you arrive with a chip on your shoulder, you are on your own, but if you see a truck you like at their store, no matter how far away you are, do yourself a favor and give them an honest chance to earn your business. I did, and I got the truck of my dreams, at a great price, from the guys I consider my new friends in Ellensburg, Washington. I may not see them again, but every time I get into my new truck, I smile thinking about them and how glad I was, that I drove that extra mile.
