I wont lie, there are some things that become a hassle. Having to go there every day, Having to quit ALL drugs i.e. pot, Benzos, (Xanax) drugs you think that are harm less, you are not required to Immediately stop those, but they will help you see things in a different way. I never used Heroin, but I was taking so many painkillers everyday and the vicious cycle never stops. If you are hooked on pills and think Methadone clinics are just for Heroin users, that is not true at all. I am 34 and am a Freshmen at KVCC working on my degree. That would not be possible without the help they have given me. For all you Veterans, the VA pays for your treatment,People without insurance are helped, even if you do have to pay a little, It is better than the alternative! They give you a personal counselor to see 2 times a month to work on your recovery, I have been there for over 2 years now, and I cant tell you how much my life has changed for the better. No more waking up and wondering ""How am I going to get high today"" your money situation gets better, your family life recovers, there are so many pros. If you get sick if you dont have any opiates daily, then quit the denial and get down there.! I guarantee your life and health will improve if you listen to what they say and make it a priority. If just 1 person sees this and helps them out, then writing this could have been the most important thing I do today. GIVE IT A CHANCE! It will work. Pros: Changed my life and Took away My urges for opiates Cons: having to urinate in a cup with 2 video cameras watching
