Recently went to Marqaux's after looking for some place new to go for our anniversary. Based on the reviews I had read I figured we had hit upon a sure thing. The atmosphere here is very nice but it was too open to be what I consider ""romantic"". It was an adult atmosphere, however. We ordered an appetizer and two different entrees. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't that impressive, and for their prices... I was expecting to have a really new taste experience, something I would just have to got back for. It was just OK, nice plate presentation, but just OK flavor. Our favorite thing to eat was the bread, if that gives you an idea. I only write this b/c I had so heavily relied on other's reviews and was very exctied about going here.
Pros: adult atmosphere, nice presentation
Cons: food was OK, tables too close
