I wanted to treat my wife to a really nice, romantic dinner while vacationing in Destin. Fleming's appeared to be a great choice. The decor is excellent and the prices are high. I fully expected both of these. However, I also expected a comparable level of service. The music was too loud. Volume that I would expect at a bar but not as background music at a higher end restaurant. Our waiter appeared to lack any acceptable level of training. Wait times were really long. Appetizers were ordered, served and eaten before the waiter took entree orders. Our waiter never checked on us. Drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts were all delivered by people other than our waiter. Finally, we couldn't locate our waiter to get our check. We inquired with the other wait staff and they were very apologetic that they couldn't find him either. The food was excellent but, unfortunately, couldn't overcome the poor service and loud music.
