Review content:
No reservations, so a 3 hour is likely. The wait is reserved for out-of-towners because tipping the maitre d' for a table is only permitted when leaving the restaurant. After complaining that this practice was unfair to out-of-towners who do not have a chance to move up the list, the manager essentially told me, ""Too bad. You can leave if you like because there are hundreds of other paying customers waiting in line."" The service was poor, and the attitudes of the maitre d', waiter, and manager were unbearable. The food and restaurant ambience were good, not outstanding. Joe's has been there a long time and is a place to tell people you have been to, but I, personally, will never go back to Joe's. If you go, only go during off hours. Otherwise, go to Monty's for equivalent food without the hassel.
Pros: stone crab, ambience
Cons: horrendous wait, poor service, poor attitude
