Luckily we got a reservation rather easily. We walked by on a Tuesday evening around seven and made one for a couple of hours later. The place is massive, it's a bit overwhelming. So big that it doesn't feel personable. And knowing Paula Deen is a personable kind of gal, I was suprised at this. I guess you have to make it huge though so you can feed all the people who want to eat there. The servers were nice enough but nothing more, almost borderline snobby. Being in the south I was excepting some of that great charm they're (especially Paula!) famous for, but I was not finding that here. Another disappointment. Everything on the menu sounded so delicious. I could not decide. Being torn between a few different seafood dishes, I asked for the server's opinion. Her response was, ""Which of those fish do you like the best? Then you should get that one."" That is not necessarily true and I really think that was quite a lazy and pathetic response. I ended up getting the fried lobster tails and I regretted it. I wish I would have gotten something that was an acutal recipe, and not just sticking fish in a fryer. So that's what I suggest to you if you eat there- get something that's actually a little involved, the chicken potpie for instance looked incredible, I'm still kicking myself for not getting that. My husband got the crab cakes and they were pretty awesome. We also had some hot seafood appetizer that was super yummy. I would like to go back next time I'm in town and try some more things, and hopefully the servers will be friendlier. Pros: food Cons: service
