I have been going to Healing Wizdom and Creative Colours for years and have always received wonderful, friendly, skilled treatments and services. I have honestly never had a bad experience and I have received treatments from most of the staff. This is kind of amazing for a small business. Waxing, facials, massages, hair cuts- all excellent. After receiving a massage from Annie the other day, I finally decided to post a review of the place- it really deserves the great praise it gets. This is definitely a ?mom and pop? type of place and is unique in its decor and vibe. This is not a sterile medical spa experience or a corporate spa. This is a place where everyone will get to know you and you will feel welcome. This is a place run by real people, for real people and the service is gentle and warm. But again, what is most amazing about Healing Wizdom is the quality of the therapists. From the moment you walk in and throughout the whole service, you are completely taken care of and given options in your service, which I really appreciate. How many times have I received a massage and never been asked the most basic of questions: what kind of pressure do you like? I like strong pressure and I have had to tolerate more than one massage that felt more like a rub (never at HW) and I get tired of having to ask the therapist to increase pressure. Annie was very thorough in her massage- asking me about my problem areas, what kind of massage oils I like, pressure, focus, etc. Then she continued to check in with me throughout my massage to make sure that the pressure was appropriate. And man, was it appropriate! I felt like there was no place in my body that was ignored, although there was the proper focus on the back, just as I like it. Not only was the pressure excellent, but the pace was perfect. I hadn?t really thought much about massage pacing before this massage, but her rhythm was so slow and steady that I couldn?t help but notice how spot-on it felt. Nothing in this massage felt rushed or sloppy. This was an amazing massage and for the price it is really a no-brainer. I highly recommend Annie and Healing Wizdom in general. Go.
