Review content:
I went there recently with some friends who were visiting from out of town expecting a great experience. I have to be honest the decor and service was very nice and very good, I would go back for drinks perhaps. The view is spectacular, however, the steak was subpar for sure. First, the appetizers were mediocre and not what you expect at a place like this. I have had much better calamari and salads at fast food chains. Super small appetizers BTW. If you go to a steak house and are paying $70-80 pp you expect that 2 appetizers for a table of 4 is sufficient food. Not at Flemings however, bank on 1 app per person minimum. Second, the filet was over salted and therefore dried up the steak. It was edible but not worth the price tag. Third, the desert was very good we had a chocolate souffle and the cream brule. Both were outstanding, but the souffle had too many pistachio nuts in my opinion. In summary, I eat out a lot, live in NY and have very little hesitation to shell out for a good meal. However Flemings did not meet my expectations at all. I definitely will check out Capital Grille instead next time i'm in the area. This may sting, but Its the truth and the truth hurts some times. I have had better steak, and sides at Outback Steakhouse.
