We arrived for 730 dinner reservations as the Saturday night ""rush"" appeared to be ending. Everything from the hostess's greeting to the warm and romantic New Orleans ambiance was wonderful! Jonathan and the rest of the wait staff provided excellent service throughout our meal. The food was absolutely divine as we sampled the fresh bread with gourmet butters (The smoked aligator and the unique garlic were our favorities.) and feasted on one of the eight nightly specials (seasoned and seared Mahi Mahi served on a bed of Jambalya rice with an interesting array of sauces on the plate) and one of the menu's Bayou Specialties (Crab Louie - a Creole favorite for those unfamilar with the cuisine). When ordering your salad, be sure to try the Cajun vinegrette, suprisingly creamy with a definite kick. We were also pleasantly surprised to be able to enjoy the Blues/Jazz trio throughout the evening. From the live music to the warm and softly elegant decor and the delicious food, everything was absolutely wonderful and we felt like we were once again in our beloved French Quarter! Chappy's has become one of our new favorite restaurants!! Pros: Great atmosphere, wonderful food and music
