Review content:
I was very happy when I arrived. The people were very nice and helpful, the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Likewise, nice comfortable bed. The room had a microwave and small refrigerator, very helpful. Got to take a long hot shower, no skimping on hot water or water pressure like some hotels. The trains do go by and blow their whistles. I'm sure you will hear them if you stay anywhere in Dalhart. I always wear earplugs in hotels, and I run the under the window heating/air conditioning unit at night to block unfamiliar sounds because I am a light sleeper, so I'm sure these factors blocked the train noise for me. If trains went by between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., I didn't hear them. Slept fine. Breakfast served from 6-9 in the morning, the usual selection. Very happy with my stay.
