I took my cat in for a routine grooming and got a call 3 hours later from Gloria Leopard informing me that my cat was dead. The cat was to be shaved and in order to do so, it must be sedated. Gloria Leopard called and explained ?If I had done blood work before the sedation, I may have seen that the cat had an underlying condition.? Of course, blood work was never offered nor recommended by anyone at the clinic. She then went on to say ?Your cat was so mean that I couldn?t give it a proper examination or shots before sedation.? As a grieving pet owner, it was hard enough for me to hear that the seemingly perfectly healthy cat was dead from an annual grooming trip, then I had to hear that my cat was ?mean?. I explained to Gloria my disappointment with her lack of empathy and she said ?Your welcome to picket outside the office if you?d like?.
