Review content:
Dr. John Lee of the Beaverton office has been reported to the Oregon Board of Dentistry and is under investigation for his bedside manners and dental practices. My wife recently experienced a horrific visit in which Dr. Lee (in less than 20 minutes) managed to partially extract a tooth and send her out the door without allotting the time needed to do the job properly, providing any type of local for the pain, thoroughly assessing the issue before starting, all the while suggesting the abcess and infection was ""in her brain"". Subsequently, my wife sought another dentist immediately who was completely baffled by Dr. Lee's approach and completed the job. My wife, who is apprehensive about dental visits, explained her anxieties before hand, the urgency of her situation, and made an appointment in advance. The subsequent visit to another dentist made us realize that although Sunrise was reccomended by the IBEW union hall (till recently), doesn't necessarily make them ""dentists'. When she tried over and over to explain the amount of pain she was in, his broken english became a HUGE barrier. We later learned that her condition was potentially life threatening as the infection had settled in her jaw. I will make sure that anyone I come across understands the lack of training, competence, compassion, and professionalism Dr. Lee possesses. I have filed with the Oregon Board of Dentistry, my insurance company, and the local union hall to ensure this does not happen twice.
