Calling First & Last (Avon location) the ""best in town"" is going a bit far, either that or the people saying that don't venture out much. My good friend and i took her sister out to celebrate news that she is expecting, unfortunately this is the place her sister chose. I ate here once before and was disappointed and now again with this recent visit. The food was just bland. When my friend returned her dinner, it came back no better...the waitress seem hurried to give us our check, didnt offer us dessert...not that we wouldve stayed for it but still. And yes, i agree with someone else's post saying the place was ""poorly lit""...we had little lanterns on the table...they are pointless if you have to break out your lighter to read the menu, we overheard the couple in back of us saying the same thing about the lighting. Its one thing to maintain a soft lighting during the evening, its another when its too soft to read the menu clearly!! Anyway, this is NOT the ""best in town""...take my word for it please. Pros: The building itself is nice. Cons: bland food & uncomfortable atmosphere
