Review content:
I was first referred to Neil Chernick, the owner of Access Physcial Therapy and Wellness in Armonk, with a diagnosis of severe stenosis in the lower spine. At that point the pain and numbness in my legs was so severe, all my physical activities were impacted. Not only could I no longer take my long daily walks or yoga classes, I was also reduced to crawling up the stairs in my house since climbing upright hurt too much. Neil worked with me for six months, devising and teaching me various exercises that enabled me to become mobile again and essentially pain free. The results really have been dramatic. I've been able to return to a lot of my former activities. I can walk distances again, am back at the gym and am about to resume some gentle yoga classes. I continue to religiously do all of the exercises Neil taught me at home as I dare not backslide.
