We did a head job on the 1997 Honda Accord & once it was repaired she picked up her car and she called me a hour or so later that it was over heating again . So she brought the car back to the shop driving it here over heating. I gave her a ride back to her house. She then told me how the car had been over heating for about a month and she was just keeping it full of water. But then she also that the car would cut off after it over heated, she said that was a safety on the car.I guess someone told her that. She was also adding water with the engine boiling hot so that there could have cracked the block . Also over heating a car for a month and adding water in it with temps under 32 degrees could have cracked the block. We took the heads back off and sent them to a machine shop to make sure it wasnt a mistake we had missed. The machine shop said the heads where good. We pressure tested the car and changed the water pump when we did the head job . So the block was internal cracked so there was no way for us to see that.We had to do the head job to find that out.Once we found out the block was cracked we offered to put her a engine in for $1000parts and labor . Or she could find her a engine and we would put it in for $250.00.And we also offered to buy her car for $ 500.00 to give her half her money back.We cant give people there money back cause they dont know how to cut the switch off when the needle goes to HOT. We gave her several options and she didnt like any of them. We cant please everyone . She also sold the car and did not take it back home .. The new owner picked it up from here . Pros: null Cons: null
