Review content:
Our daughter is a student at AAU & we had to help find her an apartment. We checked many hotels & rates before choosing the Mayflower, mostly for price, the highest recommend rate & central location. We arrived early morning & they gave us a room anyway, stayed 2 days & extended over the weekend, then another day while waiting for the rent application. It was absolutely wonderful; family owned, great (and helpful) staff, ample parking (but VERY narrow access), a small free breakfast every day got us on our way, spacious and comfortable rooms and beds, a small kitchen area and a clean bathroom!, etc. made this the best value for the price. They even change towels & sheets every day. Our only minor problem was a squeaky ceiling fan (even forgot to tell them at checkout). There is a small store next door (convenient for groceries), and many pubs, pizza and other restaurants, sandwich shops, coffee houses, etc nearby, the bus stops around the corner, cable car a few blocks over, very close to everything. This was a diamond-in-the-rough, a blessing to come back to after walking all over SF looking for apartments every day!! We can't understand how they would ever get a bad review, but we definitely recommend and look forward to staying there again.
Pros: Everything
Cons: squeaky ceiling fan
