Review content:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I am one of the few that did not have a good experience at Lisa Power Salon. I read the glowing reviews and decided to give the salon a try. I was referred to Jeremy, as I have curly hair and was looking to deepen my red color. I was unpleasantly surprised to find that he did not, in fact, know how to cut curly hair - at least not my curly hair. He took my existing style and removed about half of my hair by shearing out large chunks at a time. I recall being very nervous about this process, as none of my former stylists had been so extreme when removing volume from my hair. The color was nice, but nothing spectacular. It wasn't as red or auburn as I'd hoped, it's turned brassy over time, and the promise of a good grow-out color did not happen. The worst part of it all was that I left the salon with uneven hair. I hadn't realized this until I looked in a mirror more closely when I got home. The ends of my hair were so jagged that I had to have someone else take another inch off the length just to even things out. The stylist (at a different salon) who subsequently fixed my hair said that my hair had not been cut properly for curly hair. I've waited weeks for my thinned out hair to grow back and become fuller, but I suspect it will in fact take months. I was willing to try a new salon, especially one that specialized in red curly hair, but I must admit I was disappointed. My search for the perfect stylist continues...
