I was as broke as I'd ever been, and a young dog tore up an old dog on a Friday night. I was turned away at a vet 'hospital' they TAPED some gauze in a ~20" cut, and asked me f I had asprin and credit. Yes on the asprin and no on the credit, they turned me away and gave me a $180 bill. I called ALL of the vets starting south from Bushkill on Saturday starting ~8 AM, and I ended up speaking with DrCyr (40 miles and ~ a dozen vets later) about noon. She told me to bring the dog but couldn't promise anything. I brought the dog in, and explained that I had $50 for food, and I could give her $35 & sign for the rest (had good credit until starting ~a year before the dog fight). This was at ~2pm on a Saturday or 'closing'. 2 hours of surgery with a gallon of saline and 40 stitches, she took $30 on a $1k bill. She took care of the same dog a year later like I would a child when I brought her back with bad seizures (and helped me out with the meds for the seizure maintenance when I couldn't afford them). She took care of another dog's cracked fang with an (CHEAP!! :D ) extraction that looks cleaner than any of mine. As a single guy with 4 dogs, she really was the family doctor till I switched coasts. Kanyon's is a professional setup with a personal heart. Hi Dr Cyr, Hi Keith, Hi reception :p
