Review content:
We bought a river birch for $250 from Hickory Creek Nursery late last fall. It went dormant for the winter and then struggled this entire summer until it finally gave up the ghost. We had done everything we could to save it. We had a landscape guy come give it a post-mortem and he said it never stood a chance as it had been planted (by HCN) too deeply. Hickory Creek's response was basically a non-response. It wasn't their fault, if it had been planted too deeply it would have died in 2 weeks (not true), they would not replace it but "might work with us" if we wanted to buy another one. Very disappointed in our neighborhood nursery. Frankly, we get better service from Home Depot's garden department. We won't shop at Hickory Creek Nursery again.
