Budget is absolutely AWFUL. I rented a truck from Budget this weekend, then was told after the fact I would receive my security deposit back on my card after FOUR days. Now, let me ask you - do you think Budget would accept their money FOUR days after I rented the truck???? Now, tell me why it is acceptable for me to wait that long for my money? The rep should have been upfront about that, and I would have turned around and brought cash, so I could have been ensured to not have to wait for money back. I have always rented from U-Haul, and never had that issue. I saved .03 cents per mile with Budget, and it was not worth it. I had customer services issues from the beginning. I made my reservation for 9 AM, because I wanted my truck at 9, not at 9:05, not 9:10, not at 9:15 (when the rep actually showed up). What's the point of the reservation? I honored my side by showing up several minutes before 9. Apparently, my time and money is not valuable. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM BUDGET AGAIN, AND WILL HONESTLY TELL YOU U-HAUL IS A MUCH BETTER OPTION.
