I am a 48 year old and have, for some 33 yrs., had a chronic nerve/muscle problem affecting my middle back between my shoulder blades which causes severe muscle spasms which in turn affects the spinal nerves and causes pain in my stomach. This condition has been escalating in severity over the years, sometimes the pain becoming so unbearable as to cause Emergency Room visits. Normal daily tasks could bring on a spasm at any time and have pretty much kept me from having a normal life. The conventional medical treatment has been prescription muscle relaxers and pain killers, one of which was very powerful, potentially dangerous and only work marginally. In looking for alternative treatment I found Healing Wizdom and Tamara Marshall's medical massage. I had my first massage on March 25, 2008 which was wonderful and the first of continuing monthly treatments. The massages have greatly reduced the severity and frequency of the spasms and also have enabled me to greatly reduce my dependence and dosage of the pain medications. I no longer take muscle relaxers and the powerful pain killer and am able to lead a much, much more active life which is wonderful. Also, by days end my heels were aching. Since the beginning of the massage treatments that pain has disappeared. Tamara's medical massage has done wonders for me!
