Review content:
I had a gift certificate and had never been to Casa Verde before. The eyebrow waxing tables were short and uncomfortable (and, I'm not that tall...), but the woman seemed experienced and was nice; she did an okay job but I had to clean up my brows that evening which I've never had to do before... The Signature Facial was a journey in awkwardness. The young woman had difficulty communicating from where to suggest I set my tea as I removed my shoes, to which foot she wanted me to pick up and when. Once we moved to the facial room, she mentioned that the room was chilly and I said it was cold - I mentioned it again during the facial even, but she never did anything about it. She kept spraying scented liquid in the air which literally gave me goosebumps it was so cold. It was as if she was more concerned about "performing" in exactly the way she was trained than in my comfort or my experience. When we were done, she asked me to meet her outside the room (after dressing). There was no mirror or anything and I could not find her to ask where the lady's room was; I blindly pulled my hair back and wiped at my eyes with a tissue I had in my purse... I had to walk out into the bright reception area without any idea of what I looked like - oil in my hair and who knows about my makeup. I was going to ask for the manager, but everyone there seemed under 20; I think that the staff is young and does not appreciate the vanities/insecurities of an aging woman who just wants to be pampered - and look good (I'm not yet 40). I would only recommend Casa Verde to younger, more free-spirited women who don't care so much what they look like. The young woman - she appeared well under 20 - was well trained in the motions, just not in personalized customer service. Not what I was looking for; I will not be going back. Pros: Staff is obviously well trained in spa techniques Cons: Young staff, staff not able to personalize service, cold/uncomfortable treatment rooms
