Review content:
My daughter has been taking violin lessons at Jerry Luck for several months now, and I just love this place. It's a very cozy shop that specializes in lessons for all sorts of instruments as well as student-level instruments. So if you're looking for a $2500 Martin guitar, this is not the store you want. If you're looking for a place to take lessons that has that really cool music-shop feel, this is it! The things I like: Above all my daughter's teacher, who is a very nice, upbeat, and infinitely patient person who has no problem working with a fidgety 7-year-old. Next, the reasonable flexibility of the people who work there. We've had to reschedule lessons for one reason or another, and as long as we give the shop 24 hours notice, we have never had any problems. The folks here are really easy to work with. Then there is the price (right now we're paying $70/month) which strikes me as quite reasonable--too low, even. Finally, there is just the feel of the place. You walk in, and there are instruments, sure. But there's way more sheet music and these little rooms for lessons. The whole place is about learning to play, and everytime we walk in there I'm reminded of what a positive, fulfilling thing music is. Long and short, I think this place is great!
Pros: friendly staff, excellent teacher, homey atmosphere
Cons: none that I can think of
