I went to Munroe's to have the muffler replaced on my old civic today. I was quoted $365 for parts and labor. This seemed high to me, since a new muffler at Autozone for an old civic costs $40 (I realize that Autozone parts are bottom of the line, but the huge discrepancy struck me as odd). The Munroe's quote did not itemize parts and labor, but I know it does not take more than one hour to install a rear muffler. I asked for the car back, and drove down the street to Tech Auto repair. They quoted me $175 for parts and labor, and did a great job with top notch parts. I would not go back to Munroe again.
Pros: air-conditioned, quite polite
Cons: muffler replacement was a rip off
