Review content:
I had mixed feelings about this kennel, as I'd never used it before and it wasn't part of a veterinary hospital. I'll have to admit that the setting, in an industrial park, also turned me off a little. However, what has kept me returning, after boarding my large husky/shepherd mix dog there, is the fact that they really walk the dogs on leashes, 3 times per day and they have very large enclosures, at least for a big dog. I did see some more regular sized ones for the smaller dogs. They seem caring and the owner is usually there when I arrive, the people seem friendly. What I don't care for at other kennels, is that the dogs are either let out together in a yard, instead of individually walked, or just let out into a small wood chipped enclosure, where they do their business and return to the cage. I have to add one downside to Potomac, which is that there is a strong odor. The one veterinary kennel I like, is very clean but there is little room for exercise. Weighing the pros and cons, I decided that I would opt for the thrice daily walk and the larger enclosure. I've used this kennel for a few years now and all has been well. One really nice thing about them, is that you can pick up your animal all day on Sunday, no one else I've found, offers that.
