Review content:
With our vacation coming to an end, we were looking for a nice place to have lunch and perhaps give us hope about the Savannah cuisine. Everyplace we had looked at was either bland food or terribly overpriced. We stopped by Vic's and to our discovery, the restaurant was beautiful. Being on the 4th floor on River Street, it had an amazing view, pleasant piano music in the background, and beautiful decor. We were welcomed by a nice server who took our order and immediately brought out buttermilk biscuits with honey butter. Delicious! I ordered the shrimp and grits with tasso ham gravy and my significant other had the meatloaf sandwich with mac&cheese. From a culinary professionals opinion, we were very satisfied. My dish was perfect and hers reminded us both of what southern food is all about: comfort. We enjoyed our experience at Vic's all for under $25. It was just relaxing to find a great Savannah restaurant on our final day. I would not hesitate to dine there again. For anyone looking for the heart of Savannah and great food with a view, look no further than Vic's on the River! Pros: Service, ambience, food, view Cons: a little cold in the dining room
