Review content:
So, I was a fan of this joint. Tonight I went for my third time and brought a fellow foodie. Unfortunately, her meal (duck quesadilla) was less than tasty or unique, but that wasn't the real problem. You see, the first time I went I had the best burger (topped with pulled pork and blue cheese, perfectly cooked) of my life. That experience unfortunately raised the bar, and I've since been disappointed not only by less than interesting food... i.e. boring, overcooked sliders, so-so crab pizza (a little overdone in Baltimore?), duck fat fries that are so salty and un-ducky that my dehydrated insomnia is not worth it. The place has such a charming atmosphere/decor and frequently changing specials menu with a fairly good beer/wine/cocktail list, that it's almost redeeming. BUT, consistent has been the level of service. I read another review about this, and it's very true. Each time I've been there, I'm made to feel like a complete inconvenience to the waitstaff and bartenders. Too cool for school anyone? It's so unpleasant, that I'll surely stop recommending the place to friends and visitors.
Pros: decor, coziness
Cons: service, inconsistent fare
