Salon JAM is an excellent neighborhood salon. My family has been going to this place since long before the current owner took over and they are pretty good at cutting and styling all of the different types and styles of the entire gang. John, the owner, offers an incredibly quick cut--you'll be in and out in 20 minutes or so depending on length. I also recommend Sean for more detailed styles, although I've found him to be a little inconsistent at times. The salon itself has recently been remodeled and is currently quite hip. They now look more like a trendy salon, not the local chop shop. While these guys are my old standards, I give them only three stars because I'm constantly looking for someone with a new eye to style my hair. Salon JAM is very good with traditional hair cutting, but whenever I try a more drastic or styled hair cut with them, I tend to have some issues.
