Review content:
This is my first time going and won't be back. The place was very busy which is good, the employees seemed professional, but the service and prices were not. I had two rings appraised by two well known companies in the Los Gatos/Saratoga areas and they both came up with almost the same amount of value. I've been shopping around to see what the best price I could get for them so I tried this place( I bowl in this area). They weighed the rings (total with stones) and came up almost 5 grams short of what the other companies stated the rings weighed not including the stones!!! If you ever have a good appraisal they will give you the weight of the rings/jewelry total, and break it down minus the weight of the total carats of the stones and gold, etc. One of my rings has over 2 1/2 carats of white saphires and was appraised at just over $1000 and gold was trading at $1227 at the time. Yesterday, gold was at $1393, and they offered me $400 for both rings--the other ring appraised for $975. He said they would just remove the stones and melt the gold down--we're talking about diamonds and saphires which they gave me no value on!!! They only offer 70% of gold value, but make sure you get your jewelry weighed at a reputable store before going here--no joke they came up over 5 grams short on the spot weighing and they were INCLUDING the weight of the stones. So really, they were more along the lines of 7-9 grams short--NEVER GOING BACK!
