The dealer said my transmission needed to be replaced and that they would do it for $3500. The car isn?t even worth that much? I started looking for a rebuilt transmissions on the interweb and found that Phil?s Transmission was an authorized Jasper dealer in Murfreesboro so I requested a quote on replacing the transmission. They were much cheaper than the dealer and the Jasper tranny came with a good warranty. Phil?s requested that I bring the car in so they could check it out first. As it turns out, all it needed was a new gear placement senser, a $100 part.
