Review content:
I recently sold a very nice mercedes 190E to a friend. Six months later he lost a radiator hose and ended up blowing the head gasket. We called them because they were close to our house. The estimate that they gave was $350 parts (which is fair) $500 for machine work (which is crazy, the highest estimate for machine work was 95.00) The real crazy part was they wanted $3500 for labor. At their 87.50 labor rate that means it would take them forty hours to complete. I lost all confidence then. The MB dealership did the work for 1850.00. It was dropped off on tuesday and picked-up on friday. I have been turning wrenchs on german cars my whole life. That is at most an eight hour job.
