Businiess name:  Withlacoochee River Electric

Review content:
A Withlacoochee transformer went out in my backyard and caused $650.00 in damage to my house and household goods. I was told that it was not the fault of Withlacoochee that the transformer blew-up and not the fault of anyone else, so I would have to pay for all damages on my own. I was asked to speak to my homeowners insurance to cover the damages, because Withlacoochee Electric's insurance would not cover it. My homeowners insurance will not cover it because it was caused by Withlacoochee's equipment. NICE!!! I hope that another electric company comes in my area soon, so I can change campanies. It is in Port Richey, Florida. Right now Withlacoochee has a monoply on the area and they know it, so they don't care about their customers. I told them that I had a fire hassard in my house caused by their equipment and had to fix it, that is why I am out the money. They told me, "We didn't tell you to fix it!" I replied, "So I should have left it damaged and cause a potential fire?" Response, "We didn't say that." But for over a month I had no one call me back, explain the procedure of how filing a claim works or anything. I just got a call one day after I called them several times upset from the insurance company saying the claim was denied. They denied the claim without even seeing the receipt from my electrician, computer repair company or even coming to my house! When I asked who inspected the Transformer, I was told it was Withlacoochee employees. Of course the employees are going to say it is not their fault. I am planning on taking them to court. If there is anyone else that had the same experience, please write a review, maybe I will start a class action law-suite. If there is an attorney that would like to take the case, write a review here. I am going to start looking for a good attorney today. Cons: They have a monoply and don't pay out claims that they OWE!
