Review content:
We used UHM to finish our basement. Studs, electrical, drywall and mud/taping done quickly with sub-contractors I would use again. Remaining items were a continuous struggle. UHM tried to get by with bare minimum. Awful project management and constantly needing to be reminded of unresolved items. Sloppy workmanship req???d numerous touch-ups, especially paint (done by contractor???s DAD). Lots of footwork & babysitting req???d on our end to ensure correct items were ordered/installed. Poor communication & response from project manager; lots of excuses. Project looks good in the end, thanks to our constant attention. In the end, we were too exhausted to still argue about the little details that were important to us. Project manager proved he was capable of being attentive at the very end when the loan (which had expired due to project taking over 90 days!!) needed to be reapplied for and collected for final payment.
