I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr Sawyers and his entire staff at EBAH. We've been to them for regular check ups as well as emergencies. They've always been kind, informative and generally concerned for our cats. The most recent visit brought us in with our cat Rico who had developed some coughing and wheezing. I called in the morning to make a visit and they offered a time in the afternoon (and earlier if it seemed like an emergency). My husband took Rico in that afternoon. Dr Sawyers took one look in Rico's mouth and snapped into action so quickly my husband was amazed. It turns out my darling cat (who likes to eat anything and everything) had tried to eat a threaded needle which had lodged in his throat. Dr Sawyers removed the needle that minute under anesthesia (I am so grateful that EBAH has an OR right at their facility). My husband called and told me what had happened after it was obvious that Rico was safe. It didn't even occur to me to ask what the visit had cost. I was just so happy to know Rico was safe. When I got home that night I asked the cost of the visit (fearing it would be crazy knowing anesthesia was used). It was so reasonable I had to ask my husband to repeat himself. I'm really surprised to hear people say EBAH is after people's money. I suspect they may have an unrealistic idea of what a visit should cost. Either way, I'm so very happy with the level of care and the cost. We're so lucky to have found them.
