Review content:
I have been taking my shoes here since 1992, and have always been pleased with the customer service and quality of work until now. I took a pair of boots I love to have them re-soled. They quoted a week and a half to finish the work. It took two weeks longer than the date quoted for me to get my boots back, and when I finally got them (after many phone calls and them having to "find" my boots), I thought they had at least done a good job until I got the boots home and looked inside. The leather inside had been glued in with a large amount of glue smeared all along the inside sides of the boot, up the ankle and heel. Not only that, but the leather wasn't even placed evenly inside the boot nor was it adhered completely--which is amazing considering the amount of glue they must of used! And for that I paid $70 (and that was a "discounted" price for my trouble). All I can say is this is not the Austin Shoe Hospital I was familiar with in the past. They must have been bought out. Pity--I won't be back. Pros: New Soles looked great Cons: Lost Boots, Two Weeks over due, Glue Smeared Inside
