Review content:
They tried to rip me off! I went to Carpet Sales & Distributors and spoke with the sales manager, Jimmy. He showed me a few different carpet samples and gave me the prices for each. I chose one that he said he could sell/install/remove old carpet/etc for $650.00 and possibly even $600.00, depending on the measurement. I agreed to purchase this carpet and he said CS&D required a deposit of $200, which I paid with my credit card. He then came to measure the room that day. After the measurement he said he could do it for $600. I agreed and he said he would order the carpet and it would be in by next week. I agreed and said I would wait for his call. He called me the next week and said the carpet would be in soon and that we could have it installed on next Wednesday. The next week the installers came and installed the carpet and then said I owed $600.00. I told them it was agreed at $600 and that I only owed them $400.00. They showed me the invoice which said $800.00. I called CS&D and asked to speak with Jimmy and they informed me that Jimmy was out of town and had turned his cell phone off. I was then directed to Brian who said that there was no way that Jimmy would have sold the carpet for that much because he would be losing money. I told him that is what Jimmy and I had agreed upon. He then said that if I don't pay the full amount that he would have the installers rip out the carpet. He said I couldn't keep the carpet without immediate payment!
