I've been a client of Pat Houigans' since he first opened in Richmond. He is the best vet I've incountered in my 58 years of owning pets .We Have gone to many vets through the years and I have to say Pat is like a friend of the family . He shows his love for what he does he is so knowledable and caring. He has cared for 10 dogs I have had through the years and my birds. at a time when he did not care for birds and wasn't sure how to help he called and got the info he needed and saved my bird who was egg bound. My dog Mona a yellow lab had a huge tumor by her front leg which was in a very hard spot to stitch to keep together when she would walk it would pull ,he devised away to keep it from coming apart with tubing amazing . her tumor was cancer aggressive and thought only a few months to live .He suggessted herbs and amazingly she lived another 3 years. I trust him completely with all my pets . Our other lab had diabetes and had arthritis of the spine could hardly walk he suggested accupunture and she was walking like a teen again for several more years. his staff is great. Yes sometimes Pat isn't there the days we would like everyone needs time off , we try and get the days he is there if we deem it needs his expertise. we are thankful for all his care for all our furry and feathered friends. Thanks Pat and all your caring staff for your many years of service your a great part of our community.We are grateful to have you all.
