My GE fridge stopped cooling; it just makes a clicking noise. The guy on the phone told me it's probably the relay and it would cost about $150, if that's the case. The minimum charge was supposed to be $70; I said OK.. The following day the tech came over, and quoted me $200 for the part and more than $100 for the labor - that's more than twice what I was told on the phone! He hadn't even touched the fridge and I had to pay him $70! Maybe I shouldn't have... What a rip-off! I guess this is how this company makes money: quoting outrageously high estimates and collecting $70 fees! Be aware!
