Review content:
I have one 16 year old dog and another one approaching 15. Living nearby for many years, I was disappointed to not love this place. My experience was one of never seeing the same vet twice (large staff) and because of this, feeling like none of them really knew me or my dogs. I reluctantly went to another smaller practice that required a car service for several years. But when my dog was hit by a car at 11pm at night Animal Kind was open and Dr. Morehead was on duty. I have only gone to him since and feel so lucky to have found him. He is kind and wonderful with my dogs, really takes an interest in them beyond their health, remembering details about their personalities. As an admitted neurotic pet owner, he is the most patient vet I have ever encountered, always happy to answer all of my questions and discuss what I may have researched myself. He has never recommended tests or medication that were not completely necessary even though they have all the technology available on sight. It is easy to request visits with him allowing the same attention that you would get in a smaller practice, but with the better hours and technology of a hospital. I should also mention that I did recently see Dr. Fryborg (last minute appointment made by me) and found her to be really great also. Thanks to Dr. Morehead's detailed record keeping regarding my dog's heart condition she was able to address my concerns and was also warm and kind to my very nervous little dog.
