Review content:
I came into the Ark looking for help with my substance abuse and alcohol dependence. Thanks to the AA tools they gave me I have been able to maintain sobriety however I would not recommend this place to any one. I was kept for almost 6 months and the head councilor was awful to work with. She lied on many occasions and they did not follow through with promising to keep my family in the loop. Also I was only able to see my children 5 times throughout that 5 1/2 months (not my decision or my families) I was also given a diagnosis by the head counselor and was told I could only graduate if I took the medication for that disorder. I went to a psychiatrist after graduation and was told that I had no symptoms of that disorder. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Please do your loved one a favor and take them somewhere where they can get the help they truly deserve. I would say on the Arks behalf the 12 step idea was very helpful. ALSO The Ark has their patients prior to graduation meet with their IT guy and submit reviews on here and google and yellow pages. This is a requirement for graduation.
