Review content:
I visited the Moore Family Clinic for the first time last week and saw Dr. Dawna McCreight. The staff that I came in contact with were polite and professional. Someone in billing actually stopped in the room breifly to explain what my co-pay was and that my insurance should cover the rest of the office visit. I liked that things were clear on that. The nurse who did the preliminaries was very freindly and made me feel at ease. It was Dr. McCregiht that rubbed me the wrong way. I chose her because of their website which sounded exactly like what I was looking for. I found her to be abrasive, impatient, and she just basically had attitude. It turned out that I had had the flu for a while which surpised me because it wasn't your normal knock you off your feet flu. I felt rushed, was not asked if I had any questions before I was told to follow her out to the front desk where she wrote my prescriptions. At that point any questions I did remember to ask had to be asked in front of everyone in the lobby. I later called from the pharmacy because I was not told what the antibiotic was for which turns out was for bronchitis which she did not mention while I was there. When I complained about not being given a chance to ask questions she told me I needed to demand my questions be answered. I know I always tend to be a little nervous at the Dr. and tend to forget to ask things that might be important. I always appreciate a doctor who is compassionate and willing to listen and treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I did not find this with Dr. McCreight. I think she probably knows her stuff as far as medicine goes (of course that's hard to say after just one visti) but her bedside manner was awful. I can't speak of the chiropracters in the clinic, they may very well be great. But I will definately not be going back there to see Dr. McCreight. The rest of the clinic seemed great, not as cold as your normal Dr. office. I was very dissapointed that it did not work out.
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, great nurse
Cons: Dr. with attitude
