Buyer beware and do a minimum of three contractor site visits before dealing with anyone. Bring samples home. Take pictures of tile/stone samples shown. Also, go to a box store and look over all of the tile prices and educate your self regarding tools, sealers, grout/colors, thinset, and jot down all prices. Hey, this is not rocket science and you just may wish to do this projset yourself with as good or better results than any over hyped installer. This will let you know whether any particular contractor/tile store is price gouging you on materials. Also, ask for credentials of anyone suggesting design schemes, color schemes and and so on. In many cases someone selling this stuff has no certified schooling in color design use in tile nor tile design possibilities. Most importantly -- be on hand when materials arrive and make sure to OPEN ALL boxes and check tiles for color variations making SURE these are indeed the tiles you ordered. Also be wary of grout and whether it will match the sample you chose. If not, have installer stop work immediately. WATCH the entire process. Also be aware that the tile you choose CAN be ordered with with a bullnose in the SAME size (finished) edge and should be made available to your project. If your project is to be sealed make sure that this is the case and not just a ploy to charge you with inflated sealer that is not used and with labor that is not extended (something that happened to us with no refund). GET REFERENCES and do your due diligence and you just may come away a happy and satisfied customer. we did not. Pros: None Cons: A poor experience!
