Purchased a used Infiniti from Petro Nissan in Hattiesburg. Salesman and Dealer failed to mention several problems with this vehicle...as I learned from the Infiniti Dealer in Jackson. Cruise is inop, Drive belts must be replaced, battery failed voltage test, and PCV valve is inop. All these faults, along with the recommended/required maintenance for this vehicle, that Petro did not perform, has a grand total of $1100 out of pocket for my family..in addition to what I paid for this vehicle. I love the vehicle, but feel very dissatisfied with not being told the whole story. Supposedly Petro did a vehicle inspection prior to placing for sale; according to Infiniti in Jackson, but obviously must have conveniently overlooked these faults. All customers want is a little honesty from car dealers and communication after the sale. If the vehicle has problems, tell the customer...so he/she can make a smarter decision before negotiating a purchase price and/or walking away from the table. If I was told this vehicle had an extra 1000 bucks in required maintenance cost that needed to be done right now...I would have made a more informed decision and possibly worked out a more fair price on my behalf, since I'm forking out additional maintenance money...or, maybe the dealer would ensure the vehicle is fully ready for sale by letting the professionals in Jackson fix the problems. This has totally been a terrible used car buying experience when open and honest communication could have prevented finding out 2 weeks after purchasing all the vehicle problems. I would recommend to customers that buy luxury vehicles (Infiniti's) from Petro...demand the vehicle be given a real 27 point inspection from Infiniti-Herren in Jackson, MS and all maintenance paperwork follow for proof. Hate to talk negatively about businesses...but I dont want to see my family, friends, or fellow Soldiers get involved with businesses concerned more about the quick Sale, rather than laying all cards on the table and putting the customer first. Now, I'm debating my rationale for purchasing the extended warranty..since the Finance guy seemed somewhat secretive and not to forthcoming with information. That will be another post at a later time. Now I gotta go find 1000 bucks to pay for some sneaky business tactics. I've ommited names because I feel that some of the problem is higher management related. This is just one man's snapshot and feelings of a used car purchase with problems and issues.. probably happens all the time.
