Our journey with Terminix began when a friend of ours that visited regualry ended up having bedbugs. We had just purchased brand new furniture in our livingroom and bedroom. We called Terminix because that is who our friend was using. They came out for a free inspection and told us we had bedbugs and we paid them $600 to treat our house and brand new furniture.During their inspection they never once found a bedbug in our house. They said they were more concerned about a brown recluse spider infestation which they set us up on a plan to treat that. They put glue traps down and never came back! Let me clarify that bedbugs are handeled by their industrial services and spiders, fleas, ants. ect is included in residential services. So we had to deal with two diffferent parts of Terminix. When they came back to check for bedbugs again they still did not find none. Not one dead or alive. Their glue traps never caught any spiders either. They did catch a bunch of cave crickets. We were told they would come out as much as possible and had set up a day to come out and retreat for spiders. Thry do not give you a time frame, they do not give you a call to let you know that they will be there at any paticular time on the day of their services and when they came to do a treatment we were home. But they came early in the morning and we were still a sleep. They did not call to let us know they were here or anything! I complained to the office and they disregarded everything I said and demanded that we pay $80 for them treating the outside of our home that day. Without getting any resolution or treatment inside our home and after talking to several terminix service reps we had to pay the $80 or it would have been put on our credit report and not to mention they blew up our phones for their money yet they could not call you and tell you hey we are outside of your house to treat!!! We paid the money over the phone and had the rest of our services canceled. They received about $1,000 from us and can not prove that we ever had bedbugs and did not come and treat the inside of our house for spiders on a quarterly basis as we were told they would. Their customer service is minimum to say best. Lesson learned call around for free inspections and quotes. I would not recommend Terminix to anyone. Try Orkin!! We are now out the money and did not get all the services done that we paid for. And it says money back gaurantee they do not care. If we wanted them to come back and spray in the house for spiders we would have to pay them another $80!!! Do not use their services. Also my friend that used them ended up having to throw all their furniture away and pull up their carpets after Terminix treated there several times and failed to get rid of the problem. Inspections vary by whom comes to your home. Some will have a LED light and look in creases on yourr furniture and check your box springs and bed others come with no light and when asked don't you need a light (our livingroom furniture is a dark brown) his answer was no that he has been doing this so long that he didn't need a light and that if he sticks his hand down into our couches that if we had anything it would go to the warm of his hand. Again nothing found. I will always for now on get to expert's oppinion on anything I have done in my house. They skemmed us out of money and demanded even more wthout properly treating our home and without addressing our concerns in any kind of way. Beware of Terminix. Pros: null Cons: null
