In the Spring of 2010, I had scheduled a air conditioning cleaning and check out pursuant to my Service Contract. The technician was to arrive at 4pm, but I wasn't called until almost 5pm to say he was on his way, so I rescheduled for the next day at 4pm. The next day, again I wasn't called until almost 5pm to tell me he was on his way. Then when he arrives, he proceeds to tell me that the flue pipe to the furnace, which has nothing to do with the A/C operation, needed to be replaced because it was unsafe from a little rust on the edge of one the pipes, and it was only going to cost me $500. Wow, what deal for $20 worth of materials and only a half hour of work to complete. I said no thanks. The service technician that came for the furnace cleaning was great but informed me that the wrong aftermarket blower motor had been installed from a previous visit from Atlas Butler. He said that he couldn't replace it under warranty because it had been to long, even though according to his computer records it showed they had installed it. He admitted it was their fault, and said he sees it quite often. I told him I appreciated his honesty, but that I would pay someone else to put the right factory motor in for less than the $500 it was going to cost me from Atlas Butler. I'm finished with Atlas Butler!!!
